Today I was honored as part of the first group (one of only eight) in the state of Alabama, and the first in Huntsville, to be awarded an Economic Development Leadership Certification, a designation granted by the EDAA and Auburn University's Government and Economic Development Institute. Thank you to everyone who has been supportive throughout this endeavor.
When members of a community have the opportunity to collaborate, cities and towns are built. I look forward to utilizing the knowledge gained throughout the process to help all 67 counties. #Our67 What a wonderful morning to commemorate the opening of the new Grissom High School. Congratulations to the students, faculty, and administration. The state-of-the-art new Grissom High School contains many features including nursing labs, engineering labs, advanced manufacturing components, and training for teachers on how to prepare students for business and industry. We can partner together in workforce development and train our future leaders. (After all, they will be taking care of us one day!)

My heart is with historic Alabama downtowns, and I make it a point to bring the family along to tour when possible.
Traveling to other areas in Alabama (and our nation) helps me bring ideas back to Huntsville. We had a great time touring historic downtown Montgomery. (A few of the children pictured are developers in training!) #WorkforceDevelopment #Legacy Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.
