Saban Center, which is
under construction in downtown Tuscaloosa, will offer science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs, theater, as well as outdoor recreation for school-aged students, teachers, and families. Saban Center is a public-private partnership made possible by a $1.25 MM gift from the Saban family and the Tuscaloosa City Council’s $8 million purchase of the former Tuscaloosa News site.
