The former Federal Reserve bullding in Birmingham is an excellent example of how to use federal tax credits for construction renovations. The building was constructed in 1926, with an annex added in 1958, and both structures on are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The present owner retained original features such as stone cladding, large steel windows, and a hipped copper roof. The adaptive reuse element gives the building character; the former bank vaults have been made into hallways and common area restrooms for the office space. #Our67Comments are closed.
