Confirmation Reception for The Honorable Mike Griffin

Congratulations to Mike Griffin, officially sworn in this evening as the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. President Donald Trump nominated Dr. Mike Griffin, former NASA administrator, for the newly-created position because of his immense background in space, defense, and engineering. Griffin stated the Pentagon currently faces the “most technically challenging future defense environment we have seen since the Cold War” and therefore he will make “protecting the technological edge of our U.S. forces” a chief priority.
