"Marketing Your Mediation Practice"

1/31/2022

On Friday I enjoyed taking a CLE course entitled “Marketing Your Mediation Practice,” hosted by Alabama Mediation Training’s Cooper Shattuck. (During the pandemic an opportunity arose to open a mediation practice, and in addition to site selection, I now mediate cases part-time). #Our67 Jones Mediation

The Little Chapel, historic downtown Prattville / This is one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken. Maintained now by a local garden club, The Little Chapel is thought to be the original Episcopal Church mentioned by Shadrach Mims in his History of Autauga County. #Our67

Frios Gourmet Pops

1/24/2022

GOOD NEWS : Frios Gourmet Pops is an example of the American Dream, realized right here in Alabama. The company started in the founder’s garage in Gadsden, sold to Mobile native Clif Kennedy in 2018, and quickly became a multi-million dollar phenomenon, now franchised and headquartered in a 130,000 square foot facility in Mobile. Manufacturing facilities like this bring jobs, directly and indirectly. Frios’ newest expansion will have a tremendous economic impact on the Port City as well as the entire state of Alabama. #Our67

Community Development Block Grants

On Thursday Governor Kay Ivey gave remarks and joined Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) Director Kenneth Boswell to hand out Community Development Block Grant awards in The State Capitol’s Old House Chamber. The Community Development Block Grants totaled more than $18 million to help 51 communities across Alabama complete vital infrastructure projects. The Town of Parrish, for example, received $300,000 to make improvements to Atkins-Edison Road, Shady Grove Road, and a section of Baltimore Street within the Town. #Our67 #PowerOfRural

What is Your Life's Blueprint?

1/17/2022

Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today : What is your life’s blueprint?
“And when you discover what you will be in your life, set out to do it as if God Almighty called you at this particular moment in history to do it. Don't just set out to do a good job. Set out to do such a good job that the living, the dead or the unborn couldn't do it any better."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Vote Tim Wadsworth

1/13/2022

Yesterday my love and best friend qualified for RE-ELECTION in the Alabama House of Representatives, District 14. If you live in HD14, which encompasses most of Winston and parts of Walker, Cullman, and rural Jefferson counties, we would greatly appreciate it if you voted Tim Wadsworth in the Republican primary on Tuesday 24 May 2022. You have someone who diligently works on behalf of all communities throughout the district and who is an advocate for rural Alabama. #Our67 #VoteTimWadsworth
